Siemens Digital Industries Software has introduced the Symphony Pro platform which addresses design verification challenges associated with mixed-signal SoC designs.

This next-generation solution extends the mixed-signal verification capabilities of Siemens’ Symphony platform to support Accellera’s new and advanced standardized verification methodologies with a comprehensive and intuitive visual debug cockpit, which Siemens says , results in productivity improvements of up to 10 times over the old one. solutions.

Next-generation applications are driving strong demand for greater analog and mixed-signal content in next-generation SoCs, and mixed-signal circuits are becoming more ubiquitous. For these advanced applications, mixed-signal circuits can reduce power, area, and cost while delivering ever-improving performance.

Siemens Symphony Pro platform extends rapid deployment of Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and low-power techniques driven by Unified Power Format (UPF) into the mixed-signal domain by delivering fast simulation performance in a unified environment for exceptional throughput and capacity.

Modern mixed-signal SoCs incorporate analog circuitry with logic gates operating at very high clock speeds. This high-frequency bi-directional signal flow at the analog/digital boundary pushes the boundaries of manual debugging methodologies that impact overall time to results. The Symphony Pro Visualizer MS environment provides a seamless debugging experience across the entire mixed-signal design hierarchy, providing comprehensive analysis, automation, and ease of use for increased productivity.
